Tristan Weinkle

DVM, DACVIM

Dr. Weinkle grew up in the Boston area and has undergraduate and veterinary degrees from Cornell University. After completing his rotating internship at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital, he returned Cornell for his small animal internal medicine residency. Tristan settled in Columbia, SC and helped to grow a large multispecialty and emergency practice, with clinical interests focused on hepatobiliary and GI disease, as well as immunohematology. Tristan is published in multiple areas of veterinary medicine, has lectured widely, and served in leadership roles in various veterinary and non-veterinary organizations. He currently runs a business focused on mobile internal medicine and ultrasound consultations and educational endeavors.   In his free time, Tristan serves on the executive committee of the Riverbanks Zoological Society and is on Cornell’s Veterinary College Advisory Council. He enjoys ultralight backpacking, shade gardening, visual arts, and time with family and friends.
